G418 (Geneticin) sulfate, CAS 108321-42-2, is used to select eukaryotic cells that carry a neo/kan resistance gene. Activity is an active concentration, and lot potency varies. Catch-Chem quotes the sulfate raw material. Convert the working concentration from the potency on the supplier COA, which Catch-Chem forwards. A new lot should get a kill curve before the maintenance dose is set. Do not substitute it for kanamycin in bacteria.
The product page is G418 sulfate. For bacterial selection, see antibiotics.
