Inquiry and documents

Inquiry fields, grades and batch documents.

Please include

  1. Chinese / English name and CAS
  2. Salt or hydrate (e.g. HEPES free acid or sodium salt)
  3. Grade: AR, BR, USP, EP, cell culture, molecular biology, ultra-pure
  4. Pack size and quantity
  5. Use: cell culture, ELISA formulation, nucleic-acid extraction, electrophoresis
  6. Special needs: sterile, low endotoxin, DNase/RNase-free, powder or solution

Common grades

AR

Usually means
Analytical reagent
Note
Routine chemical analysis; confirm separately for cell culture

BR

Usually means
Biochemical reagent
Note
Common for protein work and IVD formulas

USP / EP / CP

Usually means
Pharmacopeia grade
Note
Edition as stated on the batch COA

Cell-culture grade

Usually means
Low endotoxin, sterile or filterable
Note
Different from chemical purity

Molecular-biology grade

Usually means
Low DNase / RNase
Note
For nucleic-acid work; shown on the COA

Documents

  • COA — Batch test report: purity, water, metals, endotoxin, etc.
  • MSDS / SDS — Shipping, storage and handling.
  • Customs papers — For import purchases.

What should an inquiry include?

Names, CAS, grade (AR/BR/USP/cell culture/molecular biology), pack size, use, sterile or low-endotoxin needs and the lead time you need.

What are COA and MSDS?

The COA is the batch test report; MSDS/SDS is the safety data sheet. Both follow the supplier batch.

For research or industrial use only. Not for human or animal diagnosis or treatment, and not for drug or food use. Grade, pack size and lead time follow the supplier batch COA / SDS. Figures on this site are general industry references, not a factory specification.
