ABTS solution is a chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP). In the presence of hydrogen peroxide it is oxidized to a soluble green product read at 405–420 nm. It is used for ELISA detection, peroxidase activity assays and antioxidant capacity analysis.
